Demolition of two 8-story buildings in downtown Washington, DC. We used two high reach demolition machines for this job – Hitachi 850 and Volvo 480. We demolished the existing three level below grade parking garage using a selection of excavators, up to Komatsu PC650 in size. All metals were removed from the rubble using excavator-mounted magnets and clean material was used to construct working benches for the S.O.E contractor. This job was contracted with Balfour Beatty Construction.
